Duck BBQ from miss Korea: Healthy and Perfect for Summer

Duck BBQ, A new kind of barbecue experience from miss Korea BBQ

miss Korea BBQ is the renowned barbecue destination in New York City, the multi-floored restaurant with a wide range of delicious Korean BBQ. We added the flavorful Duck Breast and Leg BBQ to our already expansive selection just in time for the warm summer season.

Eating Duck BBQ in the Summer

Did you know that eating duck cools the body temperature? Having Duck BBQ is the ideal meal for the notoriously hot summers in New York City.

Eating Duck is a Healthy Choice

Here are some important health benefits of duck:
• Excellent source of nutrients: iron, selenium and calcium and also vitamins A, B3 and C
Duck meat is a high quality protein
 • Vitamin B3 (Niacin) plays a significant role in improving metabolism. A serving of duck contains approximately 50% of the daily requirement of niacin intake.
 • Selenium is an antioxidant that helps the body's immune system

miss Korea BBQ is regarded as the "best Korean BBQ restaurant" and we value our high quality barbecue experience very seriously. We are very pleased to add new meat selections that can be healthy and flavorful for restaurant's patrons to enjoy!

Yukhoe Naengmyeon, Not Found in other Korean Restaurants.

Yukhoe Naengmyeon, Not Found in other Korean Restaurants.

miss Korea BBQ’s Naengmyeon offerings are largely popular amongst our dining guests as a cold noodle dish that complements the taste of their favorite Korean BBQ meats. Enjoy this delicious miss Korea BBQ exclusive!

New Flavors: Yukhoe Mul Naengmyeon & Yukhoe Bibim Naengmyeon

Naengmyeon is an even more popular item during the summer season when the weather becomes unbearably hot in New York City. miss Korea BBQ has innovated a new Naengmyeon dish to add to our already renowned noodles lineup. We are pleased to present two new Naengmyeon variations, the Yukhoe Mul Naengmyeon and the Yukhoe Bibim Naengmyeon.

About Yukhoe

Yukhoe is often viewed as an exotic Korean cuisine that is served as a julienned and marinated raw beef that is typically likened to tartare. From the kitchen of miss Korea BBQ, we have developed a cold buckwheat noodle dish with Yukhoe beef that has never been seen as menu item before. We utilize high quality meat ingredients to prepare our seasoned Yukhoe and we combine the rich flavor with the handmade noodles and refreshing broth of our naengmyeon.

Refreshing Taste Tailored for the Summer Season

We are excited to serve our all original Yukhoe Naengmyeon dishes to our restaurant’s visitors, as we anticipate that it will become a highly regarded eat during the warm summer when cold and refreshing dishes are craved. Quite frankly after tasting the noodles ourselves, we are now surprised that no one else thought about the idea before! Come try the new and exclusive Yukhoe Mul Naengmyeon (mild) or the Yukhoe Bibim Naengmyeon (spicy) only at miss Korea BBQ.

New York Post features miss Korea BBQ in "Think Global, Eat Local"

The New York Post spotlights miss Korea BBQ's healthy banchan condiments and highly regarded Korean BBQ taste. The New York Post interviews miss Korea BBQ CEO, Sofia Lee regarding the importance of high quality ingredients and mentions:

"Sofia Lee, who owns miss Korea, ensures that the focus is always on providing great food made from the freshest ingredients.
“Korean barbeque is beautiful at first sight because of the colorful array of condiments, but it’s beautiful to taste because it also good for you,” says Lee, who strongly believes in the power of pickles and fermentation, which is at the very core of Korean barbeque. At miss Korea, the variety of pickled vegetables is extensive, ranging from kimchi to radishes, and soybean paste and garlic are essential."

Our Korean Restaurant's signature Claypot Galbi is also a dish that was highly encouraged to NY Post readers:
"At miss Korea, waiters are happy to assist newcomers to the routine, and you can have them cook for you if you prefer. Be sure to order the signature dish — hang-ali yangnyeom sogalbi, premium beef short ribs marinated in a special clay pot. Once cooked, the meat is pure luxury in a bite.

Don’t miss out on the amazing cold glass noodles, which is the traditional end to the meal."

Vitamin C Rich Foods from miss Korea BBQ!

Did you know that vitamin C is strongly represented in your meals from miss Korea BBQ?

miss Korea BBQ is proud to present the authentic and nourishing taste of Korea to our restaurant's patrons. Here at miss Korea BBQ restaurant, we believe that a well balanced nutrition should supplement the taste of our menu offerings without compromising the delicious flavor. miss Korea BBQ is a big fan of Vitamin C and its health benefits, therefore we want to share with our customers how we are serving our Korean food that is rich in vitamin C.

Here are some of the reasons we love Vitamin C:

• boosts the effectiveness of the immune system
• reduces the likeliness of cardiovascular diseases
• improves the health and appearance of your skin
• decreases the chance of prenatal diseases from occurring
• helps preserve eyesight and memory when aging
• also contains cancer preventive properties

That is why whenever a miss Korea BBQ customer orders one of our entrees or barbecue selections, we provide complimentary banchan (side dishes) comprised of tasty vegetables to ensure that you consuming a well balanced meal. For example, our Kim Chi based dishes and banchan contain high values of vitamin  C. The vitamin C of Kim Chi comes from the fermented vegetable ingredients such as cabbage and chili peppers.

In fact many of our Korean dishes contain chilli peppers for seasoning and nutritioning purposes. Chili peppers are known to have the highest concentration of vitamin C amongst all known foods with a value of 242.5mg of vitamin C per 100 gram serving. It is recommended that the minimal daily value (DV) intake for vitamin C is  60 mg per day and this really highlights the chilli pepper as a strong source for vitamin C.

We also happily recommend that guests of miss Korea BBQ, try the assorted vegetable platter (consisting of lettuce, scallion, perilla leaf) that is included in every barbecue order.  Vegetables such as lettuce, scallion, perilla leaf also contain significant values for vitamin C intake and they really enhance the taste of Korean meat. Try making a korean ssam (wrap) consisting of your choice of miss Korea's BBQ meat, rice, scallion, perilla leaf and bean paste sauce (feel free to ask us if you need any help with making the ssam). The ssam will produce an extremely delicious and nutritionally well balanced delight!

miss Korea BBQ wishes to serve great tasting Korean food that provides an energizing and wholesome food experience for all our restaurant's guests!
